~ Donald Lawrence has the clearest understanding of Christian Theology of any of the contemporary gospel artist and a GREAT anointing for conveying the Word in a way that is edifying and provides exhortation for improved practice. His pronouncements on the 'kingdom mind" and "being spiritual" are VERY profound and really call for him to write a book to expound on his understanding of Christian life. The music, poetry, and vocals that he uses to present his understandings represent a truly perfect integration of the tradition, culture, and contemporary social reality of African American people.
